Processes are planned, structures defined and responsibilities assigned. But does the system work in practice? Weaknesses may only become apparent during critical events, between teams or under time pressure. That is where we focus our assessment.
Measure what happens. Use the findings to decide.
A process that looks logical on a whiteboard may still encounter difficulties in practice. Process analysis needs to be complemented by a practical question: Does this process work when the actual team uses its own equipment under time pressure?
The literature describes this approach as translational simulation — using simulation to assess and improve care systems. It can reveal latent safety threats : weaknesses that may become apparent under pressure, such as missing equipment, unclear responsibilities, an unsuitable layout or information lost between teams.
This makes process improvement open to assessment: you can see what was intended to change and what the measurements show, providing a practical basis for leadership decisions.
01
Systems assessment through simulation
We assess your system in your own organisation, using realistic scenarios with your team.
02
Structured debriefing
We review the findings with your team and leadership to identify opportunities for improvement.
03
Retesting
We simulate the adapted processes again, making changes visible and open to review.
Wherever planned processes need to work under real demands: before opening a service, across team boundaries, in infrequent high-risk scenarios or when everyday processes do not work as intended.
SimLean360° assesses how your system works. Our consultancy supports implementation. Many of our consultancy projects begin with a SimLean360° systems assessment.
Over 25,000 participants trained in real workplaces rather than classrooms.
An official ERC course centre, with Austrian DFP and ÖGKV PFP approval and documented continuing education.
Austrian Patient Safety Award 2025 and HRO-Award 2025: independent recognition of quality.
We agree on relevant measures with you and collect them before and after the intervention, giving your leadership team findings it can use to assess change.
In an initial consultation, we discuss your current processes, the measures you would like to assess, and whether a systems assessment with before-and-after measurement is appropriate for your organisation.
