Sono in situ brings training to the place where you work. We focus on your equipment, your questions and the support you need, with a programme tailored to your team.
Train where you work.
We focus on what you need: an examination you feel less confident performing, a protocol that raises questions, or a control you have not yet explored. Our instructors work with you on your own ultrasound system, in your own setting, addressing your specific questions.
And so that you can practise on a person from the very start, we bring a human ultrasound model — no phantom, no simulator, but real anatomy.
Ultrasound is a psychomotor skill. You can understand textbook images in minutes, but probe positioning, finding the right imaging plane and adjusting depth, gain and frequency can only be learned through repeated practice on patients. Lectures and phantom-based exercises cannot replace this.
The international literature is clear: hands-on training with real tissue is superior to phantom models, particularly for image acquisition and interpretation in real clinical situations. Learning on your own equipment also improves transfer to everyday practice, because the user interface, presets and button layout remain familiar.
The result: what you practise on the training day, you can apply on your next working day, without losing anything in the transition from training to clinical reality.
Develop confidence in common ultrasound examinations and establish shared standards within your team.
Focus on specific clinical questions and refine your approach to routine examinations and emergency scenarios.
Focused, tailored support for a specific question or ultrasound application.
From focused echocardiography in intensive care and FAST in the emergency department to vascular assessment on the ward, ultrasound has many clinical applications. Sono in situ provides training in your department, on the system you use every day, with a human ultrasound model supplied by us.
Point-of-care ultrasound is no longer solely the domain of doctors. Nursing staff are increasingly taking independent responsibility for tasks such as ultrasound-guided vascular access or bladder volume measurement. Sono in situ closes this training gap with practical training on your ward, using your facility’s own equipment.
Ultrasound in medical practice includes abdominal, thyroid, musculoskeletal and vascular examinations. Sono in situ comes to your practice, your equipment and your team, with a human ultrasound model so you can make full use of the training time for scanning.
From the fundamentals of focused echocardiography, including left ventricular systolic function and pericardial effusion, to specialist applications such as detailed valve assessment.
Pneumothorax, pleural effusion and the role of lung ultrasound in assessing heart failure.
Free fluid, major vessels and detailed assessment of abdominal organs, from the gallbladder, liver, pancreas and spleen to the urinary tract.
From deciding when an examination is indicated to planning the next steps.
Ultrasound-guided puncture of peripheral and central vessels — safely and reproducibly.
Tendons, muscles and joints, from focused assessment of injuries to follow-up in rheumatology.
Over 25,000 participants trained in real workplaces rather than classrooms.
An official ERC course centre, with Austrian DFP and ÖGKV PFP approval and documented continuing education.
Austrian Patient Safety Award 2025 and HRO-Award 2025: independent recognition of quality.
No phantom, no simulator: we bring a human ultrasound model. You practise on real anatomy from the very first minute, using your own equipment.
Tell us which ultrasound system you use, which questions you would like to address, and whether you prefer Basic, Advanced or individual coaching. We provide the instructors and a human ultrasound model.
