ABOUT US · HOW WE WORK

Choose the training partner that understands your work.

Medical simulation needs to reflect the setting in which care is delivered. Experience, instructors and methodology matter, alongside an understanding of how teams work in high-risk clinical environments.

Here is how our experience, team and approach shape the training we provide.

What the training offers

SINCE 2005

More than 20 years. More than 25,000 participants.
Experience built over time.

Med-STA was founded in 2005, when medical simulation was still an emerging field in German-speaking countries.

Since then, we have contributed as an ERC course centre, developed our own simulation solutions through SIMLUTIONS®, and shaped our services around practical healthcare needs.

We have trained 25,000 participants from medicine, nursing and emergency medical services. More than two thirds of our assignments come from existing clients, reflecting long-standing working relationships.

OUR APPROACH

Training in the place where your team responds to emergencies.

Emergencies happen in your emergency department, intensive care unit or medical practice, involving your equipment, processes and team. We bring training into that environment so teams can practise in a setting they know.

“Train where you work” is a methodological decision, not a marketing slogan: in-house training measurably improves transfer to everyday practice. Scenarios are based on your actual premises and processes. What works in training also works in a real emergency.

OUR TEAM

Instructors with first-hand experience of high-risk healthcare settings.

Our instructors combine teaching with active roles in healthcare. They include doctors, nurses, emergency medical personnel and quality management professionals who understand the demands of clinical work and the gap between textbook standards and everyday practice.

This means a training day after which your team communicates differently, makes clearer decisions and acts more safely, rather than an academic lecture programme.

  • Active roles in healthcare Teaching alongside clinical or healthcare responsibilities

SIMULATION & DEBRIEFING

Realistic simulation.
Effective debriefing.

We use high-fidelity simulators that reproduce realistic vital signs, sounds and clinical responses. Scenarios challenge both technical skills and the way the team works together.

What makes simulation particularly effective is the debriefing afterwards: together, we analyse what happened in the scenario, in a protected atmosphere, without hierarchical pressure and on equal terms. This reflection is the central and most effective learning moment. Our video-assisted debriefing makes communication and decisions directly visible and open to discussion — and that is precisely what makes it so effective.

SIMLUTIONS® is our own brand for simulation solutions developed to meet training needs that standard products did not address.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

“Med-STA delivers training in our hospital, with our teams and in our own premises. They examine and evaluate our processes.

For more than ten years, they have supported us with ERC courses and in situ simulation focused on the situations where our teams need confidence in everyday practice.

That continuity, and their ability to adapt training to our hospital’s specific requirements, make the difference for us.”
