ACADEMIC CONTINUING EDUCATION

Simulation for Health Care Professionals

Part-time simulation educator programme at CU Academy
in partnership with Med-STA. The first Stage 1 cohort began successfully in autumn 2026. The next Stage 1 programme starts in March 2027, and registration is already open.

THE PROGRAMME

An academic foundation for simulation practice

“Simulation for Health Care Professionals” is a modular, part-time continuing education programme at CU Academy (CU – Carinthia University of Applied Sciences | Hochschule Kärnten). It combines an academic foundation with practical skills for simulation-based education and continuing professional development in healthcare.

The curriculum was developed jointly by CU Carinthia University of Applied Sciences and Med-STA. Med-STA contributes its long-standing expertise in in-situ simulation, human factors and patient safety, and provides equipment and infrastructure for practical training.

The programme is led by Rudolf Janz, M.Ed. (CU, Programme Director), and Dr. Michael Weldi, MSc MBA (Med-STA, Academic Content Lead).
