When existing products do not meet our simulation needs, we develop our own. SIMLUTIONS® is Med-STA’s brand for practical simulation products, developed by simulation instructors for simulation instructors.
SIMLUTIONS® is developed where standard products reach their limits. Every development starts with a specific training problem we could not solve in our day-to-day work — not in a laboratory or at a desk, but during simulation training itself. Simulation engineering and product development are led by DI (FH) Gerald Trathnigg.
Our ECMO simulator was developed because no existing system could combine technical skills and team training in a single scenario.
The patient simulator has venous and arterial circuits with circulation pumps for VA- and VV-ECMO simulation. Puncture and cannulation use clinical materials, with 8 mm arterial and 10 mm venous lumens. During training, you use your own cannulae and ECMO equipment.
The ECMO simulator is combined with a high-fidelity SimMan 3G PLUS, including sweating, seizure activity, tears, light-reactive pupils, CPR and defibrillation. The setup also includes ultrasound (Laerdal-SonoSim Ultrasound Solution 2.0), your clinical patient monitor via VitalsBridge 4.0, an IngMar ASL 5000 lung simulator for realistic ventilation scenarios, and SIMLUTIONS® SimBGA for blood sampling and laboratory results within the scenario.
The simulator is used exclusively in our own ECMO simulation-based team training and is not available for purchase.
Developed by simulation instructors. Successfully used in practice for years. Simulation Airway Lubricant improves the glide of airway devices on simulation manikins, with a high glycerol content of 80%, even spray distribution and a biodegradable formulation.
Not classified as dangerous goods or as hazardous under CLP. Available for shipment across Europe.
